Windows Live Folder Share
One of the biggest “opportunities” that I feel we have at Microsoft, especially when it comes to our online
services is doing a better job at promoting ourselves. We create a ton of great products and services (and a few that can use some work of course), but most people never hear of them. One of these products that just got re-launched is Windows Live Folder Share. It’s a service that simply lets you keep files in sync across your computers, share folders with friends, and access your files from any computer. For those of us on the move and with multiple computers, this can make working with your files that live on separate machines, much easier.
I recently installed the service and it’s a relatively painless experience and easy to setup. The software will create an icon on the taskbar that gives you easy access to your folders. It simply requires you to setup which folders you wish to share (and who can access them), then you sync up the computers that you want to share with and you’re good to go.
The service is free so there’s no hitch, so if you’re looking for a free, easy online folder sharing and sync solution, I recommend checking it out.
