E.S. Posthumus = Movie Music Goodness

Posted by jason on Monday, March 3rd, 2008

Every once in awhile I stumble across an unknown gem be it movies, music or delicious treat.  Right about the time the first Spiderman movie hit around 2001  or so, I remember catching the movie trailer for it and absolutely loved the music that was in it.  I searched high and low and luckily was [...]

The 5 Most Delicious Things In The World

That’s right tiny audience, you’re about to be exposed to the 5 most delicious things in the world.  We’re talking 34 years of searching high and low, experiencing many things of varying deliciousness.  Your world of flavor is about to increase exponentially.

    Cadbury Mini Eggs
It’s just downright torture that these little bastards only make an appearance during Easter.  Sweet candy shell?  Check.  Creamy mysteriously good chocolate in the center?  Check.  Eating bags of them as meals?  Check.  Seriously, these things are so good we should consider using it as currency.

     Meat
I could narrow this down to like sausage or filet mignon, but let’s get serious, meat is delicious in just about any format.  Now, I know this will upset my vegetarian audience, but the way I see it, they just don’t know what they are missing.  Bottom line; if it has parents, it will be delicious.

    Breyer’s All Natural Ice Cream
Have you looked at the ingredients on lesser ice creams?  Glycerol monostearates, lecithin, polysorbate 80, creamofdiarrhea?!?!  Not my good friend All Natural Breyer’s.  Just a whole lotta milk, cream, sugar, butter  and gobs of love.  Just lost that job?  Significant other leave you for another?  Got caught listening to boy band music?  Let Breyer’s soothe your soul with its creamy sweet goodness and let you know that it’s OK to listen to boy band music.  There’s nothing wrong with that.  It’s completely normal.  Not strange at all.

    Sunkist Fruit Gems
Mmmmm…fruit group.  Sink your teeth into one of these lovelies and you’ll be whisked away to a tropical island with no concerns, no bills, no getting yelled at because you didn’t empty all the garbage cans throughout the house on garbage day.  Yes, Sunkist Fruit Gems are so fruity magical that they can make you feel better.  Very much like medicine.  Delicious fruity medicine that is!

    Cream Cheese
As if cheese wasn’t delicious enough as it was, someone went and creamed it.  Probably a robot from the future because no one could create the level of deliciousness that is cream cheese.  The beauty of cream cheese is how good it makes everything else.  Bagels, dips, casseroles, birthdays, Bar Mitzvah’s.  It belongs on everything, including all of the above.

There you go.  The 5 most delicious things in the world.  Go out and get some.  You deserve it.

    Dear Friend,
I would like to inform you that ‘mini eggs’ available during the most wonderful time of the year…They are disguised as ‘balls’ if you will, that are red and green. They have the same soft goodness on the inside, with the smooth lite candy shell on the outside. If I were you, I would have my eyes peeled the day after Halloween for this magical treats.

    Thanks,
    A fellow mini egg lover

I’m thinking that candy corn should have made the top 5 list. It’s versatile, because you can serve it as candy, or as a side with a hunk of meatloaf and a pile of mashed potatoes.

So… THIS is IT? Can’t say I agree. I offer my own five in a sort of mixed RETORT and… weak challenge:
    1. M&M’s - This is a layup. Say it with me… Melt in your mouth, not in your hands. (Oh… and peanut m&m’s or those poser peanut butter ones??? those are OUT!)
    2. Toasted Ravioli - It is italian meat/cheese-filled goodness. An STL-delight that well.. you just can’t blog/comment on them and do them justice.
    3. Lemon Meringue Pie - People… this is whipped cream on steriods… on TOP OF Lemmony greatness? NO PIE can match up to this brings to the dessert game.
    4. BEEF - I’m going more specific here. I’m not a big fan of mongoose… deer… or anything I can’t buy shrink-wrapped in one of those fine styrofoam trays at Costco or Safeway. The ELK have parents… but I’m not eating it. Beef: It’s whats for dinner!
    5. BEER - Uh… HE-LLOOO??? BEER is GOOD. Beer is best in the bleachers at a cards-cubs game in August (either ballyard…). Beer though… is good. VERY GOOD. mmmmm beeer

I’m really, really sad nachos did not make the top 5 list. Clearly they would be #1 on my list.
